
Frank Sultana
Frank Sultana has been on the Australian blues scene since his debut in 2011.
Known for his raw, authentic and powerful vocal, crafted songwriting, and a deep love of traditional pre-WW2 Mississippi Delta blues, he has walked the line between honouring and evolving the genre for the last 15 years.
In that time he’s released 10 albums and 4 EPs , recording over 100 original songs and establishing himself as one of the top blues artists in the country.
In 2023 he took his talent to the prestigious Memphis International Blues Challenge, representing the Sydney Blues Society in the US In a field of 160 artists from around the world. After 4 intense days of performing, Frank was the last man standing, winning the solo duo section of the biggest and longest running music competition of its kind in the world, and in doing so, becoming only the third person outside of North America to do so in the events 42 year history.
Since that historic win, Frank has revisited the US several times, being invited to perform at authentic rural Mississippi Juke joints and at a range of festivals from Colorado, to Las Vegas, as well the famed ‘Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise’ through the Carribbean alongside greats like Taj Mahal and Keb Mo among others.
